Subject: Prohibit Electronic Towing in Cities and Municipalities
 
In the near future I plan to introduce legislation that would prohibit electronic towing dispatch for Cities and Municipalities with a population of less than 450,000.

In my opinion, dispatching electronically jeopardizes the timely arrival and the safety of, not only the tow driver, but the public safety personnel and accident victims. As we learned through the recent PA State Police Pilot Program, this system is substandard to direct 2-way radio communication with the dispatchers and responders on the scene.
