MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 27, 2015 02:09 PM
From: Representative Jason Dawkins
To: All House members
Subject: R.E.A.C.H. Reliable Educational Assistance for College Hopefuls Scholarship Program

In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation to create the R.E.A.C.H scholarship program in our state.
This legislation, the Reliable Educational Assistance for College Hopefuls scholarship, will assist college bound students by funding tuition and fees at PASHE schools or supply a grant to private colleges or universities.
This legislation will help assist thousands of PA students who may not have been able to afford a higher education due to costs. There are four requirements that a student must meet to be eligible for the program:
  • 3.0 cumulative average from sophomore to senior year
  • Satisfactory school attendance
  • Resident of Pennsylvania for a least 3 years
  • 100 completed hours of community service
Pennsylvania is world-renowned for its institutions of high education whether they be state-owned, state related, or private institutions. This program will help our residents fully take advantage of these institutions and at the same time, be more productive members of society.

Please join me in sponsoring this important legislation.
