Subject: | Amending the Pennsylvania Election Code - Heffley |
In the near future I will introduce legislation that will amend the Pennsylvania Election Code pertaining to electronic voting systems and providing for authorization of electronic voting systems for use at polling places. This legislation states that no county or municipality may enter into a contract with an entity for the purchase of goods or services relating to the operation of any function of an electronic voting system for the recording and tabulating of votes during an election, if the entity is not domiciled in the United States. Also, the Secretary of the Commonwealth may not approve an electronic voting system if any function of the electronic voting system is operated by an entity not domiciled in the United States. Please consider co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation. |
