Subject: | Condolence Resolution to honor the life, memory and legacy of Allegheny County Councilwoman Barbara Daly Danko |
In the very near future, I will be introducing a condolence resolution to honor the life, memory and legacy of Allegheny County Councilwoman Barbara Daly Danko, who passed away on May 6, 2015. Councilwoman Daly Danko was a dedicated civil servant who spent years working in federal, state and local government. She was also an educator who taught political science as an adjunct professor at University of Pittsburgh and the Community College of Allegheny County for decades. She further served her community as chair of the 14th Ward Democratic Committee before being elected to serve on Allegheny County Council in 2011. She was a passionate and courageous politician, respected by both her colleagues and her constituents, and her absence will resonate through Pittsburgh’s East End where she lived with her husband and family since 1985. Please join me in recognizing and honoring the life and career of Allegheny County Councilwoman Barbara Daly Danko. |
