Subject: | Legislation Amending the Liquor Code (P.L. 90, No. 21) |
In the near future, I intend to introduce legislation which would amend the Liquor Code to require manufactures of malt or brewed beverages that file a monthly report of taxable sales to distributors and/or customers with the Department of Revenue to also file a copy of the report with the Liquor Control Board. Currently, the law requires these reports to be filed with the Department of Revenue, but they are not accessible to the public. This amendment would provide access to those reports on the Liquor Control Board’s site for the general public’s viewing purposes a period of at least two years. Brewers and wholesalers in Pennsylvania will be able to utilize this information and allow them the ability to forecast trends in business. |
