Subject: | Emergency Epinephrine Auto-Injectors for Eating Establishments |
In the near future, I plan to re-introduce SB 897 of the 2013-2014 legislative session. This legislation is titled the Epinephrine Kit Maintenance and Emergency Administration Standards Act. This legislation pertains to eating establishments and provides for the availability of emergency epinephrine auto-injectors to be housed in a secure location within the establishment for use during emergency situations. Specifically, the act permits certain establishments to obtain a prescription for and maintain epinephrine auto-injectors at restaurants and requires the Department of Health to adopt regulations for the approval of training programs relating to the possession and administration of epinephrine for use in emergency situations. Previous co-sponsors include Teplitz, Washington, Fontana, Rafferty, Costa, Browne, Solobay and Blake. Please join me in co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation. If you have questions regarding this legislation please contact my office at 717-787-5839. |
Introduced as SB709
