Subject: Sales Tax Exemption for Equipment for Visually Impaired
 
In the near future, I intend to reintroduce legislation which was Senate Bill 837 in the 2013-14 legislative session.

This legislation will provide an exemption from Sales Taxes for the purchase of equipment used to facilitate reading and communicating by persons who are blind and visually impaired.

Cosponsors of Senate Bill 837 of last session included: Senators KITCHEN, KASUNIC, ERICKSON, RAFFERTY, BREWSTER, FOLMER, WAUGH, FONTANA, FERLO, WASHINGTON, SCHWANK, COSTA, VULAKOVICH, TARTAGLIONE, HUGHES, SOLOBAY, HUTCHINSON, FARNESE and BOSCOLA.
