Subject: | “Pediatric Kidney Disease Awareness Week” (Week of October 17 through 23, 2016) |
Please join me in co-sponsoring a resolution designating the week of October 17 through 23, 2016, as “Pediatric Kidney Disease Awareness Week” in Pennsylvania. Currently, there are 42 children in Pennsylvania waiting for a kidney transplant. In 2015, 36 children in Pennsylvania have had a life-saving kidney transplant. Since 1988, 1,190 children in Pennsylvania have had a life-saving kidney transplant. The National Kidney Foundation and its regional programs throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are continuing their work in researching this disease; aiding those who suffer from the disease; and increasing national awareness. I hope you will join in this resolution to help raise awareness in Pennsylvania. Thank you for considering co-sponsoring this resolution. |
