Subject: | Specialty Fund License Plate – Former HB 1942 |
In the near future I will be reintroducing legislation that seeks to amend Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to provide for an education license plate and for a technology in education fund. Under the proposed legislation, motorists will be able to purchase the education license plate for a one-time fee of $30.00 with a re-occurring annual fee of $10.00. Monies generated from the sale of these plates would then be deposited into the technology in education fund to be awarded, on a competitive grant basis, to public school districts throughout the Commonwealth for the purpose of purchasing computers and computer technology.
