Subject: | Statement of Financial Interest Reporting Requirements (prior HB 1009) |
In the near future I plan to reintroduce legislation that expands reporting requirements on statements of financial interest for public officials and employees in Pennsylvania. My legislation will require reporting gifts valued at over $100. Any expenses for transportation, hospitality and lodging over $100 will also be reported. Under current law, only gifts valued at over $250 are reported. Transportation, hospitality and lodging expenses are only reported if the value exceeds $650. Expanding the reporting requirements on statements of financial interests will expand accountability between the government and its citizens. Previous cosponsors: DIAMOND, GILLEN and McCARTER |
