Subject: | Changing The Term Limit for Township Supervisors |
In the near future, I plan to re-introduce legislation (HB 864) that will amend the Second Class Township Code to shorten the term of Township Supervisors from the current six years to a term of two years. I feel that by shortening the term limits to two years, Supervisors will be more responsible to their constituents for the decisions they make while in office. My legislation would not change the current term limit of Supervisors in office, but would take effect after the next election. I appreciate your consideration and support.
