Subject: | Special Rehabilitation Facilities |
Currently, the Department of Human Services provides medical facilities reimbursement, split between all facilities, by a set of criteria defining “peer groups”. Over recent years, the facilities under peer group 13 have seen funds proliferate because of the inclusion of other facilities into the group which serve different group of residents. In order to clarify funding, for the original facilities under peer group 13, we plan to introduce legislation which designates those original peer group 13 facilities as Special Rehabilitation Facilities based on the population they serve. These facilities must have 90% of their resident population eligible for medical assistance due to their diagnosis with a severe neurological or neuromuscular disorder Please join us in this legislation to clarify reimbursement for Special Rehabilitation Facilities from the Department of Human Services. |
