Subject: | Reintroduction of Legislation – Consolidation of Job Training Programs |
I will soon be reintroducing legislation (SB 392) that would consolidate the administration of job training programs under the Department of Labor and Industry. Currently, there are a number of job training programs set forth by state laws that fall under several departments, including the Departments of Community and Economic Development, Education, and Human Services. In an effort to streamline services, my legislation seeks to allow the Department of Labor and Industry to administer these programs in consultation with current oversight agencies. I hope you will join me in co-sponsoring this legislation. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office at 717-787-7105. Previous co-sponsors include: Blake, Boscola, Brewster, Costa, Farnese, Fontana, Hughes, Sabatina, Schwank, Tartaglione and White |
