Subject: | 50th Anniversary Resolution Recognizing the Chesapeake Bay Foundation |
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution commemorating 50 years of conservation work of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and its work to protect and preserve the Pennsylvania watershed. As you may know, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation opened its first office in 1967 with a mission to “Save the Bay.” In 1986, CBF opened its Pennsylvania Office in order to clean up and restore the Commonwealth’s rivers and streams because half of the freshwater that flows into the Bay comes from Pennsylvania. Since its inception, CBF has dedicated itself for the last 50 years to science-based public policy that focuses on the protection and restoration of the Chesapeake Bay and the rivers and streams that flow into it. I hope you will join me in co-sponsoring this resolution recognizing the work and contributions of the CBF on its 50th Anniversary. Thank you for your consideration. |
