Subject: National Healthy Schools Day in Pennsylvania
 
National Healthy Schools Day is an important day to promote and celebrate healthy school environments that are conducive to learning and to protecting occupant health. To bring awareness to the Commonwealth, I will be introducing a resolution designating April 4, 2019, as “National Healthy Schools Day” in Pennsylvania.

This day is observed in communities nationwide and serves to highlight the impact of school facilities and the school environment on a child’s health, development, and academic achievement. To celebrate “National Healthy Schools Day”, schools, parents, personnel, advocates, and agencies unite nationwide to promote healthy and green school environments for all children.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution that encourages a healthy and productive atmosphere for our children.
