Subject: | Property Tax / Rent Rebate multi-person household income limit |
In the near future I plan to re-introduce legislation (HB 1607 of 2017-2018) to amend the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program to include a multi-person household income limit. As we know, a number of Pennsylvania senior citizens are struggling to stay in their homes due to ever increasing property taxes. Often married couples are not eligible for the rebate based on combined income, one may still be working, while the other is on social security. My legislation will assist our senior citizens by including a combined income threshold. Please join me in supporting our senior citizens by co-sponsoring this important legislation. If you have any questions regarding this legislation, please contact my office at 717-787-2885. Previous Sponsors: WHEELAND, HILL-EVANS, HAGGERTY, DRISCOLL, WARD, V.
