Subject: | Firearms in Vehicles |
In June 2017, following an incident of road rage in the Commonwealth, David Desper shot and killed Bianca Roberson with a semi-automatic handgun. Roberson was a recent graduate of Bayard Rustin High School in West Chester and was preparing to study at Jacksonville University in the fall of 2017. She was a talented student with a bright future that was cut far too short due to a senseless act of violence. We cannot allow residents of the Commonwealth to live in danger of firearm violence as a result of road rage. For this reason, I will be introducing legislation to prohibit individuals from carrying loaded firearms in their vehicles. Please join me in co-sponsoring this important legislation that will help to ensure the safety of all motorists throughout Pennsylvania. Thank you for your consideration and support. |
