Subject: | Resolution Honoring late Crafton Police Dept. Patrolman Louis Henry Hufnagel |
This Thursday, April 25, I will be introducing a resolution honoring the life and sacrifice of the Crafton Police Department Patrolman Louis Henry Hufnagel, who was killed in the line of duty nearly 100 years ago. Patrolman Hufnagel died by gunfire on September 8, 1919, when responding to a burglary call. Three suspects were apprehended buy not prosecuted. Patrolman Hufnagel is the only fallen officer in the history of the Crafton Police Department. On May 5, 2019, members of the Borough of Crafton community in Allegheny County will gather on borough building grounds for a memorial dedication recognizing Patrolman Hufnagel. I would be honored to present this resolution and join them in remembering this remarkable Patrolman who gave the ultimate sacrifice while protecting lives and preserving safety. I would appreciate your co-sponsorship. Thank you! |
