Subject: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Awareness Month
 
In the near future, I plan to re-introduce a resolution recognizing September 2019 as FASD Awareness Month in Pennsylvania. Children born of mothers who consume any alcohol during pregnancy can be affected by FASD, a group of mental, physical and neurological birth defects.

Preventing FASD is simple: there is no safe amount of alcohol that can be consumed during pregnancy.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution and help raise awareness about FASD and its prevention, identification and treatment.
