Subject: Turnpike Discount for Active and Veteran Military Personnel
 
Our military service members, past and present, have demonstrated their loyalty and commitment to our country and the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. As a token of gratitude for their service, I will be introducing legislation that would reduce or eliminate the cost of using the Pennsylvania Turnpike for active and former military personnel.

Under this legislation, active duty military personnel would be eligible to qualify for free use of the Pennsylvania Turnpike through the EZ Pass system. Veterans would also be eligible to qualify for a 50 percent discount on toll fees, provided that they also use the EZ Pass system.
