MEMORANDUM

Posted: September 1, 2020 10:20 AM
From: Representative Clint Owlett
To: All House members
Subject: Restaurant Policy Capacity

It is not right that the Governor is treating all restaurants across the Commonwealth the same as a night club in Philadelphia.  When it comes to our restaurants and capacity, one size does not fit all.   Just like our school’s educational formats, restaurant capacity should be based on specific county transmission.

For this reason, I will be introducing legislation to that would require the administration to follow the attached chart regarding restaurant capacity.  You will notice after viewing the chart that these are the same metrics that were provided by the Administration in choosing educational formats for our children.

Currently there is no vision for our food service industry. This plan will provide certainty and predictably, something they need going into winter. "Where there is no vision, the people perish."

Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation.
