Subject: | Recognizing the 125th Anniversary of the Pennsylvania Game Commission |
Colleagues, In the near future, Representative Keith Gillespie and I plan to introduce a resolution that will recognize the 125th Anniversary of the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC). Created via legislation that was signed into law in 1895 by Gov. Daniel H. Hastings, the PGC has managed the Commonwealth’s wildlife resources for all Pennsylvanians. With over 700 employees, and thousands of volunteers, the PGC continues to fulfill its duty to manage and conserve all 480 species of wild birds, wild mammals, and their habitats on behalf of all the residents of PA. Wildlife is an important part of PA’s cultural heritage and touches the lives of countless Pennsylvanians and is considered by many to be a state treasure. Please join me in cosponsoring this resolution. Thank you. |
