Subject: Made in Pennsylvania: Reshore to Restore Recovery Zone Program
 
Please join me in co-sponsoring legislation to establish the “Reshore to Restore Recovery Zone Program.” This program will help set the stage for bringing advanced industrial and manufacturing jobs back to Pennsylvania.

This legislation would allow the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to designate strategic and targeted zones within the Commonwealth to be used as the base of operations for manufacturing in the advanced manufacturing, medical supply, life sciences, food supply chain, robotics, information technology or automation, and cargo operations industries.  Businesses within these zones would receive tax abatements for state and local taxes and would be eligible for targeted job creation tax credits.

An early lesson of the COVID-19 pandemic was that critical supplies need to once again be “made in America.”

I look forward to working with you on this proposal, which is part of the Commonwealth’s COVID Comeback legislative package.
