Subject: | Polish American Heritage Month |
This year marks the 410th Anniversary of Polish settlers arriving to the United States of America. Since 1608, people of Polish heritage have contributed greatly to global achievement and advancement of the United States and Pennsylvania. This year, Polonia (modern Poland) marks the 1053rd anniversary of the Documented History of Poland (966 to 2019). This is also the 38th anniversary of declaring October “Polish American Heritage Month” in Pennsylvania, other notable anniversaries this year include the 80th anniversary of the invasion of Poland, the 75th anniversary of the battle of Monte Cassino, and the 75th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. lease join me in sponsoring this resolution declaring October 2019 “Polish American Heritage Month” and October 6th 2019 as Pulaski Day in Pennsylvania. |
