Senate of Pennsylvania
Session of 2019 - 2020 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: December 17, 2019 01:17 PM
From: Senator Lawrence M. Farnese, Jr.
To: All Senate members
Subject: Driver's licenses for all

A reduction in hit and run accidents and an increase in the number of insured drivers.

That’s what happens when undocumented migrants are permitted to obtain drivers licenses.
A drivers license does not convey legal status, it does not entitle anyone to benefits, it does not give permission to vote.

It keeps our constituents safer. It means being able to track people who are already driving and ensure they take financial responsibility for any harm they do.

Please join me in creating a pathway to ensure all drivers in Pennsylvania’s streets are trained, licensed, and insured.
