Subject: | Temporary Halt on Foreclosure and Eviction Notices For Business Owners |
In the very near future, I intend to introduce legislation which I am hopeful may further assist our business owners across the Commonwealth by providing for a temporary halt on any foreclosure or eviction notice, should they be unable to make payment. As we see the current public health emergency unfold with COVID-19, we must act to provide resources for all of the residents of the Commonwealth including all small businesses and employers. Last week, at the federal and state level, agencies were directed to suspend foreclosures and evictions for Pennsylvania residents for at least 60 days due to the coronavirus national emergency. I am hopeful that this legislation will improve upon some of the accomplishments my colleagues and I have made already, helping our small businesses in this current climate, while maintaining our strong commitment to their future success. Please join me in co-sponsoring this important legislation. |
