Subject: | Special License Plate: Pennsylvania Concerns of Police Survivors |
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation would provide for a special license plate to support the Pennsylvania Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) non-profit organization. Each year, between 140-160 police officers are tragically killed in the line of duty. The Pennsylvania C.O.P.S. are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping rebuild the lives of the families left behind. They offer emotional and financial support, as well as legal assistance. Their phone line is open 24/7 and is an incredible resource for family members mourning the loss of a loved one who paid the ultimate price. Please join me in honoring this worthy organization by cosponsoring legislation that would create a special license plate to recognize their achievements and bring awareness to their cause. |
