Subject: | CARES Act funding as local share |
Local governments across the state are struggling with generating revenue and the pandemic continues to pull the curtain on funding shortfalls. While state programs can provide relief via grants and loan programs, they often require a match contribution from local governments. That’s why we are introducing legislation that would allow local governments to use federal funding to satisfy the match requirements for state funding. Enacting this legislation would ensure that local entities can continue to work on improvement projects that ultimately facilitate public safety and fuel living-wage jobs. The Erie Delegation would greatly appreciate your cosponsorship of this legislation so that communities across the state may continue to secure and utilize grants for enhancement. |
