Pennsylvania is the only state in the country that doesn’t allow municipal police from using radar devices. With over 300 speed-related deaths per year, equipping local law enforcement with reliable speed-enforcement technology would allow nearly 1,200 police departments across the Commonwealth to more effectively slow down drivers and save lives. Given these statistics, I plan to introduce legislation to permit radar usage by trained officers in counties of the first, second, second A and third class.
