Subject: | March 2021 as "National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania |
Since 2000, March has been celebrated as “National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month” by advocacy groups, public health officials, health care providers and patients alike, to help spread awareness of the disease and the importance of regular screening. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. Due to an increase in colon cancer found in young adults, the American Cancer Society now recommends regular screenings for average risk patients at 45 years of age. My hope is that we can help spread awareness and prevent more Pennsylvanians from this deadly disease. Please consider signing on to this important awareness resolution. |
