As part of the federal infrastructure plan, $8 billion dollars has been set aside to develop hydrogen hubs in energy rich parts of the country. Hydrogen hubs are networks of hydrogen producers, consumers, and local connective infrastructure that accelerate the use of hydrogen as a clean energy carrier that can deliver or store tremendous amounts of energy. Pennsylvania with its deep industrial roots, proximity to transportation hubs, and qualified labor force is an ideal location for these hubs and a coalition of government officials, labor leaders, energy companies, and nonprofits has already been built to support our bid for federal funding. A recent report by this coalition identified some statutory issues which must be taken care of to make Pennsylvania truly competitive. That is why I am re-introducing Rep.
