| In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation to name a new Boat Launch Access being constructed by the PA Fish and Boat Commission in Muncy, Pennsylvania, the "Representative Garth Everett Muncy Access Area". This Access project is to be completed by the Summer 2023. My friend and predecessor Representative Garth Everett was a champion for the Muncy Boat Access project. Garth led the charge from the beginning on making this project a reality in Muncy as he held town hall meetings to get feedback from avid sportsmen in the area and to make sure that a new access would be constructed when our old one was closed. PA Fish & Boat Commission heard from Garth often on this project and know how committed he was to seeing it through to completion. As you may know, Garth Everett passed away in late January after a courageous battle with cancer. We lost a great man in Garth Everett but his legacy will carry on. Representative Garth Everett served 14 years in the House of Representatives on behalf of the great people of the 84th District and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Air Force after 20+ years of service to our Nation. With that said, it is my intention to introduce legislation naming the Muncy Boat Access after Representative Garth Everett. Please consider joining me in sponsoring this legislation to honor the life of service that my friend Representative Garth Everett lived. |
