MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 12, 2024 12:27 PM
From: Representative Justin C. Fleming and Rep. Thomas H. Kutz
To: All House members
Subject: Personal Privacy Protection Act

In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation known as "The Personal Privacy Protection Act."

Individuals who associate with 501(c) nonprofit organizations through membership, donations, or other means often do so out of personal conviction.

For many reasons, including personal safety, anonymity, modesty, or religious reasons, among others, many individuals who support nonprofit causes value their right to privacy. This bill aims to shield supporters of various causes from retaliation as it relates to employment, personal safety, or otherwise due to their affiliation with a 501 (c) non-profit organization.

This idea is supported by both the American Civil Liberties Union and Americans for Prosperity among others. I hope you will join me in supporting this legislation.
