Subject: Property Tax Installment Payments
 
In the near future, I plan on introducing legislation to expand the number of installment payments an individual can make on their property taxes.   Currently the Local Tax Collection Act limits municipalities’ ability to offer installment payment options.  At this time Municipalities can authorize an individual to make up to 4 installment payments on their property taxes each year.  I am proposing legislation that would increase this amount to 12 installments, thus giving individuals the ability to make monthly payments, making it easier for individuals to save the money they need to pay their property taxes.
