Subject: Designating November 2024 as “Veterans and Military Families Month” in Pennsylvania

Our veterans and their families make immense sacrifices for our Commonwealth and nation. During their service, military members are often placed in the line of duty and experience perilous situations to serve and protect our country from harm. Service members may experience post-traumatic stress injury, traumatic brain injury, and other life-altering events. In addition to their bravery, veterans are also essential members of our communities and demonstrate outstanding leadership skills for younger generations to model.

Every November 11, across the country, communities come together to honor our veterans. Veterans and their families are also celebrated the entire month of November in what is known as “National Veterans and Military Families Month.” Pennsylvania veterans deserve to be honored for their sacrifices. To acknowledge the service of our brave veterans and their families, we will introduce a resolution designating November 2024 as “Veterans and Military Families Month” in Pennsylvania.

Please consider co-sponsoring this resolution to honor the sacrifices of our veterans and their families here in Pennsylvania.
