Subject: Proposed Constitutional Amendment: Election Audits
 
Roughly one-third of adult Pennsylvanians, over 3 million people, lack confidence that elections are accurately conducted. That statistic comes from a Marist poll of adults in our Commonwealth conducted prior to the 2022 general election. To address this lack of confidence in the foundation of the electoral process, I will introduce legislation amending the Pennsylvania Constitution to require the General Assembly pass legislation to audit elections and the results. 
 
This measure was approved last session by the House and Senate. If passed again this session, it would place a proposed amendment on the ballot asking voters if the General Assembly should be required to address the issue of election audits.
