Senate of Pennsylvania
Session of 2023 - 2024 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 24, 2023 10:34 AM
From: Senator Judith L. Schwank
To: All Senate members
Subject: PA 211 Day in Pennsylvania

Too often, we hear from constituents that are facing a variety of personal, financial, and medical crises to which we do not always have a solution. Luckily, we have a resource to turn to, PA 211. Thanks to the tireless work and dedication to our communities, I will be introducing a resolution recognizing February 11, 2023 as 211 Day in Pennsylvania.

For several years, PA 211 has provided high-quality, courteous, and professional service to Pennsylvanians in their most desperate moments of need. Thanks to our investments, the most recent being one-time $4 million, in this vital database and hotline, every person in the Commonwealth can dial the three-digit number for help locating support for their health and human services needs. In addition to voice services, PA 211 is also available statewide by text and web search 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Supported and promoted by local United Ways across the Commonwealth, PA 211 specialists are committed to the six “E’s”, Excellent, Efficient, Everywhere, Every Day, Every Way, Engagement. These highly trained individuals connect people with the information and resources they need to build healthy and safe communities.

Please join me in recognizing PA 211’s significant and essential role by designating February 11, 2023, as 211 Day in Pennsylvania.
