Subject: Voting Machine Quality Assurance Program
 
For an electronic voting system to be approved in the Commonwealth, one example system must be inspected by the Department of State and all other like systems are approved. This means that majority of voting systems in Pennsylvania have never been subject to a rigorous inspection by the state. This legislation would help to ensure that the machines that are actually used in elections are complaint with state law and free from defects or tampering by establishing a program where machines in use are inspected.
