Subject: Standardizing Statewide Rodeo Practices
 
I plan to introduce legislation that would ensure standardized practices for rodeo events throughout the Commonwealth. The legislation would ensure that the practices for rodeo events with regard to the  techniques and equipment utilized is consistently enforced across Pennsylvania. The growth of rodeo as a sport over the past decade has been massive - the top circuit visited over 39 cities nationwide last year and attracted over 1 million spectators. Given the rising popularity, it's important to position Pennsylvania as a host for events moving forward. A standardized approach to industry practices is a critical first step and recognizing the potential economic benefits they generate.
