Subject: Condolence Resolution Honoring the Life of Korean War Hero U.S. Army Veteran Sergeant Richard “Dick” Marvin Sharrow who was Killed in Action.
 
In the near future Senator Dush and I plan to introduce a condolence resolution honoring the life and dedication of U.S. Army veteran Sergeant Richard “Dick” Marvin Sharrow who was killed in action during the Korean War, seventy-three years ago. Sgt. Sharrow served in Company F, 2nd Battalion, of the 5th Calvary Regiment, 1st Calvary Division, which was deployed at Pohang and advanced to Yongdong, South Korea to defend the city against the North Korean People’s Army.
 
Sgt. Sharrow who had been listed as missing in action since July of 1950, was returned home to Marienville, where his family was able to properly lay him to rest, with fully military honors, as this hero deserved.
 
Please join me in sending our condolences to his family to honor the life of this veteran and hero, who dedicated his life defending our freedoms and this country.
