| Subject: | Kindness Week November 11-18 |
| Next week, we will introduce a resolution designating November 11-18, 2023, as Kindness Week in Pennsylvania. While World Kindness Day is recognized and celebrated on November 13th every year, a constituent from York has recently launched a non-profit, Kindness Worldwide, which is leading a charge to celebrate Kindness Week. The constituent’s efforts all began because of a random act of kindness by a complete stranger, who found and returned his wallet, coincidentally, on Good Friday of this year. In an effort to thank the stranger for her kind deed, this constituent began sharing his heartfelt gratitude through TV news stories, which then evolved into planning a kindness event in the York community and now founding a non-profit. The vision for this non-profit is to bring people together to better their communities through kindness and to share stories about acts of kindness. Please join us in bringing some much-needed kindness to our Commonwealth by co-sponsoring this resolution designating Kindness Week in Pennsylvania. |
