Subject: Designating March as "National Nutrition Month" in Pennsylvania
 
I will soon offer a resolution to recognize March 2024 as National Nutrition Month in Pennsylvania.

"National Nutrition Month" is a nutrition education and information campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to focus attention on the importance of making informed food and nutrition choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals with more than 100,000 credentialed practitioners.

The type, quality, and amount of food that an individual consumes each day plays a vital role in overall health and physical fitness. There is a need for continuing nutrition education and a wide-scale effort to enhance healthy eating practices.

I am proud to introduce this measure to recognize National Nutrition Month, and I invite you to join in supporting this resolution.
