Subject: | April 2024 as Faith Month |
In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution designating April 2024 as Faith Month in Pennsylvania In the United States of America, freedom of religion is one of our core principles. Our state of Pennsylvania was founded as a haven for religious diversity in the colonies by William Penn. The right to religious liberty is enshrined in both our nation’s constitution and our State’s constitution. For many Pennsylvanians, their faith is the center of their life. The religious diversity that Pennsylvania was founded on carries on today, and numerous religions are practiced across our commonwealth. I, personally, am driven and guided by my own Christian faith, and I know many of my fellow legislators are driven by their own faiths. Because of the importance of faith to so many people in this commonwealth, I ask that you please join me in cosponsoring this important resolution to recognize April as “Faith Month” |
Introduced as SR257
