MEMORANDUM

Posted: August 28, 2024 04:15 PM
From: Senator Cris Dush
To: All Senate members
Subject: Prohibiting the forced implantation of tracking devices

Soon, I will introduce legislation prohibiting people from being forced to become implanted with a tracking device.

Years ago, I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams that a piece of legislation like this would ever need to be proposed. Unfortunately, the practice of microchipping humans is something that has been on the rise. It is not an uncommon practice in other countries like Sweden, where thousands of humans have been microchipped. Here in the United States it is less common, but still happens. For example, a company in Wisconsin microchipped fifty of its eighty employees.

In response to the rise of this practice, many states have passed laws restricting or limiting human microchipping. This issue is one that has crossed party lines and has successfully passed in blue states, like California, and red states, like Missouri.

This bill will be similar to the bills that have passed in other states and prohibit forced microchipping.

Please join me in sponsoring this simple, common-sense measure.
