Subject: Elimination of COLA for Legislators (Former HB 244)
 
In the near future, I plan to reintroduce legislation that will eliminate the COLA that legislators get each year on December 1.  I want to ensure that this COLA will no longer exist in the future.  The recently granted December 1, 2024, COLA will stay in place, but the December 1, 2025, COLA and all other December 1 COLAs after that date shall be eliminated.  This legislation would not impact the judicial or executive branch.
