MEMORANDUM

Posted: December 6, 2024 09:44 AM
From: Representative Joseph D'Orsie
To: All House members
Subject: Congressional Term Limits Amendment

In the near future I plan to introduce legislation via Article V of the U.S. Constitution to convene to consider the number of terms a person may be elected as a Member of the Unites States House of Representatives or the United States Senate.

This application to call a convention of states is narrowly focused on the topic of federal term limits and matches the resolution language that other states have already put forth.

Congressional term limits are a concept that a vast majority of Americans support. There is a consensus among Americans that there should be a limit to how long one can serve in any single elected office in Washington. It’s our duty, then, to exercise our constitutional authority as state legislators to move toward a convention to consider this important topic.

Please join me in supporting this resolution.
