Subject: Brewery Fairness in Licensing & Storage
 
In the near future, I will be introducing legislation that will allow our local breweries to receive the ten percent licensee discount found in the Liquor Code, as well as increase the amount of storage locations for breweries from two to five.

As some of you are aware, Act 39 of 2016 allows Pennsylvania manufacturers the ability to sell other Pennsylvania manufacturers products. My legislation will give our breweries access to the licensee discount that restaurant liquor licensees receive when they purchase Pennsylvania products from the PLCB.

This change from two to five storage locations will provide uniformity regarding amounts of satellite locations that our limited wineries and distilleries have.

It is my belief that this legislation will assist our local breweries, while also providing breweries parity with limited wineries and distilleries.
