AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 1032

Amend Bill, page 4, by inserting between lines 29 and 30
(f) E-Verify program requirement.--
(1) An employer or contractor contracted to complete a
solar energy project under the program shall verify the
employment eligibility of an employee through the E-Verify
program and shall keep a record of the verification for the
duration of the employee's employment.
(2) If the department or the Department of Labor and
Industry determines that an employer or contractor contracted
to complete a solar energy project for an eligible applicant
under the program failed to comply with paragraph (1), the
eligible applicant must refund to the department the total
amount of grants awarded for the solar energy project.
