        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           MARCH 2, 1999

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Proclaiming March 1999 as "DeMolay Month" in Pennsylvania.

     2     WHEREAS, The Order of DeMolay is a character-building
     3  organization of young men from 12 to 21 years of age; and
     4     WHEREAS, These young men are seeking to prepare themselves to
     5  become better citizens and leaders for tomorrow; and
     6     WHEREAS, The Order of DeMolay helps develop those traits of
     7  character which have strengthened good people in all ages; and
     8     WHEREAS, The Order of DeMolay has carried out its worthy
     9  goals for 75 years through programs of athletic competition,
    10  social activity, civic service and charitable projects; and
    11     WHEREAS, The Order of DeMolay in Pennsylvania celebrated its
    12  75th anniversary in 1998; therefore be it
    13     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives proclaim March

     1  1999 as "DeMolay Month" in Pennsylvania in recognition of the
     2  outstanding ideals and achievements of the members of the Order
     3  of DeMolay.
