                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Celebrating the week of October 17 through 23, 1999, as "Weekly
     2     Newspaper Week."

     3     WHEREAS, Weekly newspapers provide vital information to the
     4  citizens of this Commonwealth; and
     5     WHEREAS, Weekly newspapers are a source of entertainment to
     6  the citizens of this Commonwealth; and
     7     WHEREAS, There is insufficient recognition of the services
     8  and benefits provided by weekly newspapers; therefore be it
     9     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
    10  informational services and entertainment benefits of weekly
    11  newspapers; and be it further
    12     RESOLVED, That the week of October 17 through 23, 1999, be
    13  celebrated as "Weekly Newspapers Week" in this Commonwealth.
